He has been in private practice since 2000, where he qualified from Durban University of technology with a Masters Degree in Chiropractic. His field of research was the management of whiplash injuries. The paper won first prize at the faculty of health sciences research day. He also has a postgraduate qualification in Sports injuries – the CCSP (Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician).
Currently he runs a successful practice in Durban North, which he has been running for the past 12 years. He has also assisted DUT extensively as a supervising clinical for final year students and has supervised and marked numerous masters dissertations and lectured various courses for the university over this period.
He is particularly interested in an evidence based approach (utilizing the best current scientific literature for the benefit of patient management) to the chiropractic management of musculoskeletal injuries and the conditions he manages range from plantar facitis of the foot to cervicogenic headaches (headaches as a result of neck problems).
Dr Kruger regularly will refer to outside specialists(neurosurgeons, orthopedic surgeons, neurologists etc) if he feels that the condition is beyond conservative management.
